{"id":513,"date":"2011-10-18T17:32:03","date_gmt":"2011-10-18T16:32:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sallypommeclayton.com\/blog\/?p=513"},"modified":"2023-06-22T13:50:00","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T12:50:00","slug":"love-in-the-shadows-soho-theatre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/makeandbelieve.uk\/?p=513","title":{"rendered":"Love in the Shadows &#8211; Soho Theatre"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>When I was little I loved making toy theatres from old shoe boxes! &nbsp;<em><strong>Love in the shadows<\/strong><\/em> &nbsp;experiments with images in the tiniest shadow theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/makeandbelieve.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/lilly-in-the-shadows.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/makeandbelieve.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/lilly-in-the-shadows-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-78\"\/><\/a><figcaption>Love in the shadows<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The performance explores ideas about shadows in love and shadows in fairytales &#8211; through Gothic fairytales about having and not having, longing and loosing, making mistakes, but living to tell the tale.&nbsp;These are stories of dark enchantment about love between: humans and animals; humans and devils; humans and stars! And wonders how love is possible between humans and humans! The narrative worlds are accompanied by tiny shadow puppet tableau creating a mysterious atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The performance is programmed by the creative minds at the <strong><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.crickcrackclub.com\/CRICRACK\/HOME.HTM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Crick Crack Club<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>who have been promoting the art of storytelling for contemporary audiences for over twenty years, supporting new and daring work and encouraging young tellers.
